Thanks for the response to my BROWN plea. Yes, I'm trying to map the Browns in the Perry-Muskingum-Fairfield area, where they lived and when, in an effort to find connections and non-connections. I'll appreciate any information you care to provide. Carole: Yes, we have corresponded before. Your William Brown came through DE to Muskingum Co and some of his ch settled in Perry County, esp. William C. and Horacio. I still have you on file. I know more now, but not enough. There was another group of Browns that came from, or through, CT. A daughter Sarah m John Fowler from Baltimore. Then yet another Brown family was from Ireland, David Brown. A son Wm. m Sarah McMillan and among their ch were the brothers Wm (m Sarah McTeer), David (m Margaret McTeer), and Robert, (?m Nancy Glassford). Tony: Your Parley Brown is new, but I've seen the name Parley Brown before. can't find him in my notes just now. And Bruce mentions Absolam Chenoeth Brown, son of Isaac Newton Brown of Bearfield and Clayton Twps. The Browns of MD/PA and who lived in Monroe Twp (Robert and Sarah) seem to have some connection with the Perry/Fairfield Co Elder family from the Baltimore area, but I haven't pinned the connection down. Their s Henry died in the Civil War. Elijah Brown of Muskingum Co m Rebecca Ann Spillman 9 Aug 1836; where does he fit in? This is an ugly, uncertain job but it may pay off. Jim
Jim, the William C. & Horatio Brown you refer to are a later generation of the original Browns of Perry & MU. I will list the original family later. Carole Williams
