On one of my visits to Perry County last year I stayed in Logan - just outside Perry County. There is good access from there to Shawnee and New Straitsville in the southwestern part of the county (which is where I was going), but it isn't particularly convenient for New Lexington. Logan also has an EXCELLENT restaurant for breakfast on the main street.
