    3. I'm hoping to make a trip to Perry County this week or next to do some research. I seem to recall that a major records repository is closed on Fridays. What else do I need to know? Is there anywhere in the county for overnight lodging? I'll be searching for records on the BAIRD family. Miriam

    3. There is a Motel in New Lexington but I can't vouch for it as to comfort & cleanliness. Otherwise, look at Zanesville & Lancaster. Carole

    3. We stayed last year at the VIP Motel just on the edge of New Lexington. It was nothing to write home about, but it was clean and convenient (at least it was clean last year). It is an older motel, but seemingly pretty well taken care of.     3. New Lexington has a motel-around the corner from the old children's home now children's services. The road that you take to go to Zanesville.
