    3. NO, NO, NO! This is not the same Nancy ALLEN. This Nancy ALLEN is my gr gr grandmother. Think there were at least two families of Allens in Perry in this time frame. 1830s to 1840s. Besides, she would have remarried (if she had) under her married name of RUSH. When was the other Nancy Allen born? I have the census records for all the ALLENs on the Perry 1830 census and some from Fairfield. Our (Glenda and I) Richard didn't come until after the 1830 census. Think ours is from Ohio Co VA/WV. Or at least I am working on a Richard Allen from there. Not to say there might not be a connection. I don't have all the Allens on the 1840 census just the ones in Saltlick Twp. That's where my kin (or a lot of them) were hanging out. 3. I am also looking at the Driggs name - the male parent of my father's half brother was named as Franklin Delmar Driggs on his birth certificate. Since this was 1904 and Nannie Milligan was not married to Franklin, I heard thru someone else it created quite a stir... If you could send me a copy. I can provide a fax number if you contact me off line. 1. Re: [OHPerry] PACE, ALLEN
    2. Thanks Lea Ann. I hadn't found this clue. I will try to check it out further. Hard to figure why Nancy ALLEN (PACE) wasn't included with the family in Bearfield Twp. I thought it was because she might have died at or right after the birth of George who was listed as 5 mos. old in 1850. I suppose it is possible the one in Clayton Twp. could be my Nancy. I do think there were at least 2, maybe 3 different families of PACES in Perry Co. around that time. Linda "There is a Nancy L.Pace listed in the 1850 Perry Co. census living in Clayton Twp. The 1850 census for Bearfield Twp., Perry Co. OH lists the following. PACE, William, Age 49, Farmer, Born PA PACE, Elizabeth, age 25 PACE, William, age 18 Laborer, Born OH PACE, Cynthia, age 12 PACE, Clarissa, age 10 PACE, Isaac, age 8 PACE, Thomas, age 6 PACE, James K. 3. Hi Lea Ann and Byron: I too am researching the family. I have quite a bit on the Lannings but surely interested in Sarah Roberts. Would be glad to share with you on any of those on the list that you sent. Not sure if this is Byron Atkinson or not that I am writing to but if so we have talked. My Skinner family married into the Lanning family. We have not really learned much on Sarah Roberts....do you have info on her? I know that she was married to Peter Skinner and know her children, but was her father Thomas Roberts of Louden Co., VA.? I am from the John Salathiel Skinner family. Thanks. Glenda

    3. I have no idea where the later Dusenberys lived. New Lexington is correct though. My gag grandfather was William Dusenbery who fought with George Washington in the Rev. War. I understand there is a mural in the New Lexington Post Office (probably the old post office) that is a tribute to him as well as several others. He is the only Rev. War Patriot buried in Perry County according to that mural. Are you related to any of them?
