The family was from Alsace, France, as are the Ehruman family from Pickaway and Fairfield countys that I am also researching. Byron

    2. Hi Marcia Sorry, but, I don't have your names in my McCLELLAN(D) file. Mine begins with William 1733-1815 married Esther HOPWOOD abt 1735-. Their children were: James, the line from which my wife descends, Andrew David Elizabeth married (1) James ALLISON, (2) Christian BALTZELL John Robert Asa Enos Most of the information that I have is on the descendants of James and Asa. Perhaps yours are descended from one of the other sons of William and Esther. Jerry

    3. Hi, I am researching my grandfather's family. My grandfather (Stephen) was born in Congo, Ohio (Monroe township, Perry County) in May 1908. I have not found a birth record and don't know if he would be listed under his mother's maiden name (Elizabeth LOVASZ), the biological father's name (Joseph SOLTESZ) or his mother's (second?) husband (Steve MATISZ) whom she married three months after my grandfather's birth. Elizabeth died in Congo in 1909 but I'm not sure where she is buried. I expected to find a record of her funeral mass at St. Bernard's Church, where my grandfather was baptised a year earlier, but it is not listed. With the help of SKS, I *think* we found her death listed in Perry County's death records under the name Lizzio Mytyes (an awkward spelling for Matisz?) Finally, an Alexander HORVAT was listed as my grandfather's godfather, so I assume he was living in Perry County around 1908 as well, though I know nothing about that line. Thanx, Sharon _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com

    3. Hello Joanne, I have no idea where Ella McClelland, who married William (Wylie McCane) Janes/Jaynes was from yet. But, these two were probably married in Fayette Co. PA as that is where William was born and raised prior to moving to Saltlick Twp. Perry Co in 1879. Ella and William were married on July 21, 1873, according to family Bible. Any connection with this little tiny bit of information??
