I mainly research the GRAVES surname in the Vinton County area. I am trying to find out the maiden name of a lady that I think was a first wife to my grandfather. His name is Eli Joseph GRAVES born Oct 5, 1877 (called Joseph or Joe) and hers is Rosa M. A Joseph GRAVES and wife Rosa M owned property together in Crooksville, Perry County, Ohio between July 18, 1907, and November 24, 1908. An Eli Joseph GRAVES and wife sold property in Vinton County, Ohio to an E. Jackson GRAVES March 23, 1908. I was hoping to find Rosa M's maiden name, if she died or if they divorced and where she might be buried. Thanks, BaBa

Hi fellow researchers: I am researching PURDUM, LONGSTAFF, and SIMPSON from the Shawnee area. Shirley
Can someone tell me who to contact regarding interment records for Crooksville Cemetery. Thanks, Traci
John Brown 1802 b. Mass d. 1860 Perry Co. OH. I haven't been very successful in finding info on my John Brown ( beleive to have been born abt 1798-1800 in Perry Co. OH S/O Isaac Brown and Mary Clayton) I thought your John Brown might be related in some way. Linda
Hi Mary, I've been trying to track down the children of John Brown and his wife, Mary Ann James. They had a son, Edward Brown, born about 1839, I believe he may have married 30 May 1861, Perry Co., to Margaret H. Little, born abt. 1836, PA (birth date and place from Census.) I thought some Little researcher could tell me whether or not I'm on the right track. Faye
Linda, Sorry, I don't understand, which John are you talking about? Faye
Hello, I think it is a good idea to reply to the list and the person individually, in response to the first posted message. (Use "Reply All") Other's on the list may be waiting for a response to the question as well, plus it shows everyone that people are getting help from their postings. I know I like to see that people are making progress thanks to the kindness and generosity of members of the list. After the initial contact, depending on the content of your messages, you can decide if the messages would be valuable to the list or should only go to the individual. I thought I'd take a minute and add my names to the list. My families all kind of tend to mix and float around in several counties: Perry, Morgan, Guernsey, Athens and Muskingum. Since they all seem to be related in someway, I will list all: O'Leary changed to Leary then to Larry DeGarmo Downey Shilling Stedman Jennings Harris Drum VanDyke Fergusen Fish I'd appreciate hearing from anyone researching these names. Hi Ruth, By asking questions and making comments through the list, we all learn from it. Sometimes, something so remote can spark a light and you can learn from that. There are so many knowlegable people on the list it would be a pity to take our comments off list completely and email individuals with answers. I have learned much from reading other peoples answers to someone else's questions. This is how the List works. Hope this helps you understand how a List works... Happy Hunting. Joni, the Alsaca comment was just an observation. To my knowledge there is no connection, I was just surprised to see that area of France pop up again. I had forgotten that the Burgoons were from that area too. I assume that you then know that Levi's parents are Jacob Burgoon and Prudence Ann Baker? -----Original Message----- From: Isn't Genealogy Fun [mailto:beethovenkat@worldnet.att.net] Sent: Tuesday, July 16, 2002 1:07 AM To: OHPERRY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [OHPERRY] OHPERRY Burgoon, Donley, Lil;y, Ryan Byron, I nothing at all on Donely except for Mary Donley who married Roger "Rody" Ryan.
