    1. [OHPERRY] Conn Family
    2. Stephen D. Carlile
    3. I have been researching the Conn Family in the Census Records, specifically those Conn's who descend from George Conn (Born about 1791) and Sarah Carlile (Born about 1796). I tried to run down the descendants in the Census Reports, but I know I have a couple of Conn Families mixed up. I would appreciate any help from other Conn researchers. Thank you very much..

    1. Re: [OHPERRY] Burial Location of Rosy/Rosa/Rose M GRAVES
    2. Sue, All I know is that they lived in Crooksville, OH in 1907 when his grandfather died and he bought land in Crooksville in 1907. He sold other land from there to Henry FRIEL and his sister Lizzie FRIEL in 1908, but by 1910 they were living in Athens County. By 1919 he was remarried to my grandmother in South Dakota, so I am assuming Rosy/Rosa/Rose died in between 1910 and 1919. Thanks in advance! 3. Go to one of the parents page. From the main page, click on Surnames (in red), then the first letter of their last name on the surname list, then the surname. That brings up all the people with that surname. Click on the specific name of the parent There are a couple ways to add children, but I think this is the easiest If you scroll down the parents page, near the bottom you'll see a field called the Family ID. Right above that, it'll say "Last Modified" and there will be a link to the right of that that says "Edit". Click on that. That'll take you to the Modify Family Screen. Scroll down to where it says Children. If one of the children happens to already be in the database, but not associated with the parent, you can click on "Find" right next to where it says New Children, input the name of the child in the Find screen and then select the correct name from the list. If the children aren't in the database already, instead of hitting "Find", hit "Create. That'll bring up a screen just like the one you saw when you created the parents, an Add Person Screen. The system should automatically generate a Person ID, but if it doesn't, hit the Generate box to force it to do so. Input all of the information on have on the child and hit Save at the bottom. Don't forget to Click or unclick the living box. After you hit save, it'll take you back to the Add Family screen. If there are more children, just keep hitting Create until you have them all done. Once you have them all done, simply scroll down to the bottom of the screen and hit Save. That does it. Let me know how it works. 3. The Ridenour Y-DNA Surname Project has a match. This is the link: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/RidenourY%3DDNASurnameProject/ If you click on the "Results" tab you will see the participants Genealogy/Family Tree. Click on the "Y-Results" tab and you will see the comparisons of the actual test markers. They match 36 of 37, and are -1 off at a fast moving marker. Hopefully we will hear from them as to how their family research compares. The newest participant #80072 has 2 Ridenour lines, only his direct male lines dna is the only dna that can be tested. Participant #26916, I am still getting his family tree typed up to put on the webpage soon. Marjie (Ridenour) Evans, Proj. Adm.

    2. Donna, at admittance in 1878 your HARLOW family were residents of Rome Twp., Athens County, Ohio. (see below transcript) "Jane Harlow & six children were admitted into the Infirmary April 8, 1878 by order of the Trustees of Rome Township. Jane Harlow, 32 years; William Harlow 12 years; Ida Harlow 8 years; Gusta Harlow 6 years; Ruthett Harlow 4 years; Lulia Harlow 2 years; Lovinia Harlow 1 year. Previous habits good as far as known. Present condition bad. A. Martin, Supt. William Harlo discharged Mar. (or May) 1st, 1878. Ida Harlo was taken away June 29, 1878 by D?. Gamble" I do have all of the records that are available to the public, and HARLOW dos not show up in any further records. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. 1. Re: [OHPERRY] Perry County Families Database
    2. Tim Fisher
    3. Exactly Julie. Its an online database where registered users can add the details of their own families. The database has all of the normal fields you'd expect from genealogy software, names, dates, etc., but can also be used to associate family histories, pictures and even movies. Right this minute there are almost 17,000 names in the database, over 200 photos and about 250 registered users. To register, simply click on the "Register" link on the main page (right above the small pictures). Registering gives you total access to the database with the capability of adding your own information. Non registered users can still use the database but can only "see a" information entered for non living persons only. For more info. about the database and why I built it, click here http://www.perrycofamilies.org/about.htm I also have a large amount of data concerning Perry Co., genealogy here http://www.perrycountyohio.us Some of the content there would include the entire 1850 census, 1859, 1875 and 1935 plat maps, the 1883 History of Perry and Fairfield Cos. and a bunch of other stuff. 1. Re: [OHPERRY] Perry County Families Database
    2. Hi Tim, I was wondering if you could answer a question about the database. I need to add more than one marriage to an ancestor and I can't figure out how. I've entered one wife, but I need to add the one he married after his first wife died, as well as the children from that second wife. Thanks, Kaye Coller On 4/25/07, Tim Fisher <[email protected]> wrote: > > This looked like a good time to plug the Perry Co. Families Database. 3. This looked like a good time to plug the Perry Co. Families Database. I haven't done that for a while http://www.perrycofamilies.org Ellen Noble was already in the database so I was able to connect her to this Rambo family. I have added these obituraries that Carole so thoughtfully transcribed into the database (and these people). If you haven't visited the database yet, take a look. There are nearly 17,000 names in the database and about 250 registered users. Tim Fisher http://www.perrycountyohio.us The Williams' wrote: > Zanesville Times Recorder October 2, 1974 > Frederick J.
