I do not know if they are or not. Let me explain My Gr-Gr- Grandmother was Keziah OGG TROUT who married Phillip Trout, s/o of the Judge Trout in Somerset. Phillip died young and left her w/ two boys, George and Rubin. Keziah eventually married my ancestor, Christopher RETALLICK SHORT, an Englishman from Cornwall who lost his wife en route to USA. .I happen to have the bible where Keziah entered her first marriage details with births, deaths, etc. and then gave the bible to her only daughter, Sarah Matilda SHORT after she married Archibald MAJOR in 1864. Sarah included her own data and the bible passed on to my Grandmother, d/o of Sarah and Archie, Keziah Belle MURDOCK where Grandma entered her info. It is a strange and unusual collection of family facts. Because of the flyleaf, where Sarah Matilda wrote that her Mother had given the book to her and recognizing my Grandmmother's writing, I was able to identify the writer of all of the entries. If you find that you are not aware of George and Rubin TROUT, then by all means contact me and I will be glad to supply you w/ what their MOTHER entered for them. I imagine that they are included in the original TROUT history, but since I have never seen it, I am just offering to help any descendant of that family. MARJORY PETTY. 2. I wonder if anyone can help me with my Perry Co ancestors. My grandfather, Charles Andrew CURL was born in Perry Co in 1873. His parents were Isaiah and Elizabeth Martin CURL. There were no other children. When Charles was about 6, they moved to Beaver Co, PA. Isaiah's parents were Andrew and Lorina (or Lavina) Boldoson CURL. Andrew had a second wife, Jane GRIFFITH. Andrew's father may have been Jeremiah CURL, but I don't know for sure. I would like to be able to find out if Jeremiah was Andrew's father and if so, anything else about Jeremiah that's available. Thanks, Casey

    1. [OHPERRY] Cora Reichley
    2. Ruth G. Hastie
    3. I have seen no evidence of Albert and Marie (Heffley) Reichley having a daughter named Cora or Alice. As far as I know, they only had one child - James Albert. And there is this: On 9 November 1973, the ZANESVILLE TIMES RECORDER reported: "Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reichley of Rushville observed their golden wedding anniversary Oct. 21 with Mass at St. Joseph's Parish Hall, Somerset, followed by open house. Mrs. Reichley is the former Marie Heffley. The couple was married Oct. 16 1923 and has one son, James, also of Rushville." Re: Henry Flautt. I don't know who Henry Flautt was, but perhaps this will give you a clue. According to the following item from the Lancaster newspaper, Henry was living on the Adam Heffley farm in 1936. Adam was Marie Heffley's father, and she and Albert Reichley lived on the same farm as Adam (the original Heffley homestead). On 21 April 1936, the LANCASTER EAGLE GAZETTE reported: "Mrs. Albert Reichley is confined to the home with scarlet fever." Also afflicted with scarlet fever was "Henry Flautt, 22, living in Reading township on the Adam Heffley farm on the Somerset-Rushville pike" as reported to the county health board office in Zanesville. There is a note in my file indicating the possibility that Henry Flautt married a sister of Albert Reichley. But I never pursued it. But perhaps you could look for more information in the Reichley family: Albert Reichley was the son of George W. and Rachel (Wolfe) Reichley. He was listed as Albert in the birth record and as "Ernest Albert" on his WWI military registration. Hope this helps -- Ruth Hastie

    1. Re: [OHPERRY] TROUT, MOHLER, LUTZ, BRANDT.
    2. Pat Morrison
    3. Kay, I believe I've been in touch with you in the past regarding this family. I am related to Catherine Mohler LUTZ, sister of Solomon LUTZ, daughter of Jacob MOHLER. The Trout book would be of interest to you as it begins with Johann Wendel George TRAUT (1689-1760)who came by way of the ship "Winter Galley" on 5 September 1738. He and his his sons George, Nicholas, Michale, and daughter Elizabeth settled in Strasburg in Lancaster County, PA. Catherine Mohler LUTZ's husband was a close friend of Johann Wendel George TRAUT, and was a witness on his will. I bought the book several years ago from the author Geo. E. Trout, 6741 W. Lincoln Ave., #117, Buena Park, CA 90620-4181. He was quite elderly at that time, but you might give it a try. My ggf (Elliot Bickford Holcomb) moved out of Perry Co. in 1906/7, so the photos pre-date his departure.
