I am researching a Thomas Dutcher who resided in Perry County, Ohio around 1850 give or take a few years. By 1870 he was located in Morgan County, Ohio. If anyone has any information on any Dutchers from that area I sure would love to hear from you. Thank you.

Tim, Thanks for the good work. I just knew that was your post, even before I saw you name!! I have some recent pictures of Hopewell Baptist Cemetery if you would like to put them there. There was a huge cleanup done to that cemetery last Aug. by the local folks. Stones were repaired also. Kay Brandt Hughes ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

This seemed like a good excuse to tout a new feature of the Perry Co. Families database http://www.perrycofamilies.org/ The database will now link to Google maps to display places associated with the individual records. The "places" in the database must have latitude and longitude coordinates in order to do this (and at this point most don't), however I have personally started working on adding many latitude/longitude coordinates and started with some of the cemeteries in Perry Co. For instance, if you go here http://www.perrycofamilies.org/headstones.php?country=U.S.A.&state=Ohio&county=Perry+County&tree=PerryDB you will see a map of Perry Co. with 13 cemeteries plotted. You can zoom in on any of these to see exactly where they are. I am working on a separate instruction page for folks who would like to start inputting latitude and longitude into their own records and it will be available by clicking on the Google Maps link on the main page. With a lot of work, it would be possible in the database to list every cemetery in Perry Co. and display not only where they are but pictures of the cemetery and every headstone in the cemetery. If anyone has any questions, let me know. Tim Fisher Sue Saylor wrote: > Susan, > There are at least 15 burials in the Salem Evang. U. B. Susan, There are at least 15 burials in the Salem Evang. U. B. Church Cemetery per the "Jackson Township Cemetery" publication printed by our group. (Perry Co. Chapter, OGS). The reason I use the term "at least" is because there are several notations on inscriptions where the surname is unreadable for stones between known Dutton markers. On pg. 97 we find this listing: _____, Elizabeth (broken stone- down) Dutton, Elizabeth d. Sep 25, 1821 (1871) aged 26 yr (76 yr) w/o James " James d. Feb 18, 1859 aged 65 yr 4 mo 19 da Our Father and Mother _____, James D. 1859 * The comments in parenthesis notes differences in readings of the stones. We hope this helps.
