Hello ~ is there anything in those records about the Black families of Perry Co OH? My ancestral grampa was Henry Black 1809 PA - 1879 OH who md 1834 Susanna Carey in Perry Co OH and they show there from 1840 until 1860. Henry was in the Civil War and moved to Hardin Co OH after the War where he shows up for 1870. Henry's grandson, Frank E Church Black 1863 OH - 1927 CA was/is my great grampa. Sue, I went to the library today earlier than I thought. Missed seeing you but we did find a good bit of info. I'm sorry for leaving so many books out for you to reshelve. One thing I wanted to ask you about was the Perry County Infirmary Records. 1853-1910. I found Ben Frances. I had a Ben Francis (different spelling but I think it's the same man) in my family. It didn't give much info at all so am wondering if there are any other records for the infirmary? Also didn't find any county directories. Are there any? I was hoping to find out something about the FRANCIS family in New Straitsville as that is where they lived. Appreciate your help. Thanks Sue for the prompt reply. I think most of them are my relatives. Probably the ones I don't recognize are related too. I've just recently started researching this family. Never knew anything about them. Only thing I knew was my gr grandmother was Anne FRANCIS married to William EVANS. They came from Wales in 1864. Lived in Meigs County. I started out with a shot in the dark & hit paydirt. So am quite excited. And to think they lived so close to me but I never knew they existed. I live in Lancaster. So now I need to take a ride to the cemeteries. Thanks again, Emily Emily, In the "Coal and Salt Lick Cemeteries" published by the Perry County, Ohio Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society we find a listing for David, Frank, Hettie and John Francis in the New Straitsville Joint Cemetery in Coal Township. Also listed in this book are Erastus, Erastus F., Florence G., Hannah M., John S. and Joseph Francis in the Shawnee Cemetery in Salt Lick Township. Hello, I'm researching my FRANCIS family of New Straitsville. Many of them are buried there. Does anyone have access to the cemetery records? Would like to know the cemetery where they are buried. For example David Francis died in Columbus but is buried in New Straitsville. His death cert. does not give the cemetery name. Please advise and thanks for reading this. Sincerely, Emily
Hello List, I need to jump in here on the Anderson Family. My Great Grandmother was Ruth Ellen Anderson Sheumaker. She was born 8-6-1848 in Ohio. Her parents were Samuel & Sarah Batson Anderson. I have no dates on them. I do have a list of people that looks like it is copied from a very old Bible. These pages were given to me by an Aunt but she doesn't know how they connect to Ruth Ellen Anderson. Here is what I have. Marriages William Anderrson son of Samuel & Sarah m.
