The couples first child, Hanna (or Anna) Stephens was born in VA on 10/14/1801 . . . Although there has been an infinite amount of research done, over the years, related to this family line I have NO idea why the marriage is said to have taken place in Muskingum, OH if it wasn't so. I'm hoping that there is someone in Jefferson Co. who reads these messages who can help us find "proof" of this marriage and may also be able to provide a specific date the marriage took place . . . Just as a side note, Elizabeth's sister, Mary Bowles (Boals), married Emmors brother, Isaac Newton Stephens - I know not where . . . Emmor married a second time after the death of Elizabeth and 11 children later. Assistance is ALWAYS greatly appreciated!!!
