The Buckinghams were an extremely prominent family in Muskingum County, Ohio and their genealogy has been extensively collected by family members. Philo was a very common name in their family, appearing over several generations. I notice in the LDS site that a Philo Buckingham was attributed to be the son of a James (I believe) Buckingham of Muskingum County and the birthdates match, though I do not see documentation. This particular Philo, born about 1825 was a farmer and the LDS site said he died in 1853. I also noted in some old historical papers he won a prize in an 1850 agricultural show for one of his horses. The contributor to the LDS site showed no spouse, nor children. The other Philo Buckingham and Imogene you mention show in the 1850 census as not living in Muskingum, but Vinton County.
