I am not award of any town in Muskingum with a name resembling that. We do have some microfilms at the genealogy library in Muskingum with early birth records dating back to the 1860s and 70s, but in the state of Ohio they were not legally required until 1908 and then the compliance for reporting was not all that great. The genealogy library in Muskingum also has quite a few churches with baptismal records, where dates of birth are oten recorded in the notes. I guess before I'd go much further, I'd want to verify where he was supposedly born.
