SHUMATE DIES OF PNEUMONIA Carl Bernard Shumate, the six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Shumate, died at 7:30 o'clock Monday evening at the family home, 139 Fell Street, after a two weeks illness of pneumonia. Besides the parents, he leaves a brother and sister, Solomon and Louise, at home; his paternal grandfather, Samuel Shumate, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rachel Sowers, both of this city.
