I'm glad my information was of some help to you. I, also had found the 1850 census and was wondering how the Kipps that Henry Untiedt lived with were related to him. How wonderful that you were able to visit Ladbergen, Germany. I would love to be able to visit places that family had come from. When you figure out how Herman Heinrich Untied was related to your Kipp family, maybe these things will provide you with more leads. It would be wonderful to someday fill in missing information on these people or find some new names. I also sorresponded with a lady who mailed me a copy of a map of Jefferson Twp in Muskingum, Ohio in 1875. It shows land parcels and is labeled with the family names of the owners. 2 of the parcels have the Kipp name. There is one for Henry Untied next to one of them. Henry Untied's second wife, Catherine's last name was Schumacher. A parcel nearby was owned by a Schumacher, and 2 parcels were owned by a J W Mortimer (John Wesley).
