Roll, 61 Zanesville - Bernice E. Roll, 61, of 5507 N. River Road, died at 9:45 am Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born Dec 1, 1935, in Muskingum County, she was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge of Cambridge. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Lou Mann of Zanesville; two sons, Delbert L. Ashton of Jackson and Victor E. Ashton of Adamsville; one step-son, Rodney Roll of Zanesville; one step-daughter, Rita Jean Beauchamp of Algonquin, Ill; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Meredith of White Cottage, Bernadine Myers of Malta and Beulah Stotts of Zanesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ernest and Mildred Holcroft Jones; her step-parents, Victor and Mabel Coyle; her husband, James L. Roll, who died last Jan 24, 1995; and one sister, Barbara Davis. Calling hours are 7 to 9 pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday, Dec. 29, 1996, at Bryan Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Avenue, with Christian Vigil services at 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Monday, Dec 30, 1996, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Charles Klinger as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
