Author: caliope Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.muskingum/1850.4.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: There there doesn't seem to be any doubt that the John Kelly who was a revolutionary war veteran lived in Union township from 1819 (I have a copy of the deed records) until after 1860, and it's verified by the 1860 census that this particular John Kelly served in the Revolutionary war. That's why he's buried in Rich Hill Cemetery, as it's in close proximity to Union Township. I did not find any other John Kellys in Muskingum until the 1830s census and that one was living in Washington Township and would have been born sometime between 1790 and 1800, IOW too young to have been a war veteran.
