The northwestern counties of Virginia ( Old Dominion ) were admitted to the Union in 1863 as the state of West Virginia. Before this split of the state, when it was still Virginia the Kellys owned most if not all of the land that is now Oglebay Park, West Virginia. It was thought that Rebecca Wood's father gave this land to her and Isaac Kelly Sr. Info from a note on a chart passed down from the lady in the obit said it was from Isaac's dad or grandfather, I don't remember right off. bharper1@roadrunner.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
