My husband's great grandfather, William Schults, was born in Ohio in about 1836 so I think there is a possibility of a relationship between them. I have no information on William while he was in Ohio; I only have information on him in Iowa beginning in 1866 when he had a son. There is some question about the name of the son. Census records show his name to be Issac Schults but his marriage registration shows his name to be Richard Schults. Issac Richard???? Richard Issac???? I haven't been able to find anything to confirm either way. I did find one document that said Issac Shelby but that is puzzling as then it makes you wonder where the name Richard came from. Do you have the name of Margaret's parents? I'd like to have you share what you have with me; if you are willing so I can do some research and see if I can find a link.
