His death was a great shock to his family and friends as a few minutes prior he had risen from bed dressed himself and had taken a short walk. Upon returning he stated he was tired, lay down upon a couch and in a few moments he had expired. The deceased was the son of the late Lieutenant Thomas Ross. He was born in this city, but moved to Columbus when yet a boy. He still retained an extensive acquaintances in this city. Clifford Brown, Mrs. Belle Prout and the Misses Ella and Lizzie Ross of this city are cousins of the deceased.
