I remember him pointing out where the school used to be, but it was razed before I was old enough to remember (I'm now 59). I do have a picture of it, in a paper weight. I'm at my second home now, will have to look for the paperweight and see if I can take a photo of it when I get home at Christmas. I attended Monroe School in Zanesville grades 1-5. Would love to see a picture of it! I know it was razed sometime after the freeway was built, when Zanesville re-developed that area. Isn't Grover Cleveland slated to be closed and torn down? I seem to remember hearing that. I went to junior high there, after finishing grade school at Wilson. Your site will be fascinating when it's done!
