I have sent replies to your Sloat inquiries also. I would therefore assume that you are a decendant of Earl Alexander Milligan and Bertha Alberta Untied, as am I. I am the daughter of their son William Donald Milligan. Which of their children are you related to? Charles Owen Untied is your ggg-grandfather, and he is my great-grandfather.I have recently been given The following info on Herman Heinrich Untiedt b: 9-17-1815 in Ladbergen Germany. He was a cobbler of wooden shoes, and applied for emigration on Feb 23, 1849. He came to this country with his wife Catharine Kipp b: 6-6-1810 and their three children, Wilhelm b: 12-19-1841, Heinrich Wilhelm b: 8-20-1846, and Christine b: 4-6-1844. Catherine's father Wilhelm Kipp was also on the voyage. There was a major measels epidemic on the ship and Catherine, two of the children, Wilhelm and Christine died in rute to this country. It is believed that Catherines father also died. He and his son Hein! rich settled in Ohio with other Kipp family members in 1850. In 1851 he married Katherine Ann Schumacher in Muskingum Co, Ohio. She was born in Baden Germany in 1825. Katherine came to America in 1850 on the ship Alex Edmond with her father Charles Schumacher, mother Catherine, siblings Christian, Ludwick, Conrad, Elizabeth and Susannah. Katherine and Herman Untiedt had 5 children, William, Charles Owen(b: 8-21-1854 Dresden Oh m: 12-17-1879 Muskingum Co, Oh to Mary Jane Mortimer d: 10-17-1941 Frazeysburg Oh), Susannah, Catherine and Elizabeth. Herman Untiedt became a citizen on 9-26-1853 in Muskingum Co, Ohio. He died on 12-23-1866 in Dresden Ohio. Katherine died in Dresden Ohio on 6-5-1898. My aunt sent a picture of Herman Heinrich Untiedt. The original was a metal plate and it was copied and sent over the computer, so the clarity if not great. I anyone has anymore info on this line please reply. I am trying to solve the mystery of Herman Heinrichs parents. I have found two conflicting lines for him. Thanks for any info you may have.
