He married his first wife, "Miss White" in Ireland. Along with an indeterminate number of children, they came to America. An old letter in the family, written by William and Miss White's daughter Jane (born 1812), says "that she well remembered the trip across the ocean and that the youngest child was only eight days old when they set sail for America." William's first wife is buried in the Zanesville Catholic Cemetery. William married again on 10FEB1820 in Zanesville to Martha Mann, daughter of William and Sarah Mann, both born in Ireland. William and Martha Conway had a son named James, born in 1820. He married his first wife Elinor (Ellen) Harrison on 9AUG1840. They had five children: Martha (b.1841), William (b.1842), Benjamin (b.1844), Francis (b.1846), and Isaac (b.1849). Elinor (Ellen) died in 1858. William Conway remarried on 27APR1854 to Ruth Ann McCormick. They had 5 children: Davi! d Wesley (b. 1855), Ann Melissa (b.1858), John Mann (b.1860), Peter Johnston (b.1863), and Elsie Margaret (b.1867). William Conway died in 1868.
