The newspapers are on microfilm. Early ones, before say, the 1960's, are not necessarily in any order (in other words there is not a column named "obituaries") and can be anywhere in the paper from the front page to the last page and many of the obits are "notices" only (meaning there is not a lot of genealogical information included. Since we started our collection of obituaries, many researchers who come to our society and don't find their particular obits in our file, donate a copy to us once they find them on the microfilm. While we do have a tremendous number of obits on file, not many of them are older obits. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
