This is very simple. I need someone to go to the Society and find the document(s) from the following message board post. http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.delaware/205/mb.ashx "Delaware Co. was the home of several of the sons of Elisha COLLINS when he filed a suit to recover his land in Muskingum Co., Oh. The sons who were living there were: Elijah mar to Mary Ginn, John G., Andrew, and Abner. I am anxious to obtain information concerning these families. I will share what I know about the family. Elisha filed the suit in 1843 and when it came up for settlement in 1845 his children were listed. I will share what I know about the family." I'm trying to find John's parents and this would help to confirm or deny that Elisha and the others are related. Here is my Ancestry.com profile on my John Green Collins http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/64207638/person/46154313001 I was told that a Margaret Stainbrook worked in their library (which she is the one whom posted on Ancestry.com) but that she passed away years ago. The first person who was 'helping' me said that she knew exactly what I was speaking about and would send me the papers the next day. Which never happened. I've been 'helped' by 3 different people since the first and no responses. I was first trying to get this record mentioned above to see if there was a connection between John G and Elisha to even bother going forward with Elisha. Here are two profiles on THAT Elisha: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/19147511/person/914850630 http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/8996783/person/-395862583 http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/details/patent/default.aspx?accession=0070-258&docClass=CV&sid=3rayzwng.rhc http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/details/patent/default.aspx?accession=0051-138&docClass=CV&sid=3rayzwng.rhc There is also a book by Margaret Stainbrook at the historical society on the Collins family. Thank you in advance and I will PayPal you $$ upon receipt of the scanned documents. Ben Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
