Morgareidge, 67, of Caldwell, Noble County treasurer, died at 5 pm Friday, Sept 30th, in Bethesda Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. A lifelong resident of Noble County, he was born March 11, 1899, a son of George and Allie Davis Morgareidge. Mr. Morgareidge, a member of Caldwell Methodist Church, also was a member of the board of directors of Farmers and Merchants bank, a member and past master of Noble Lodge #459, F&AM, member and past patron of Amazon Chapter 30, OES, a member of the Aladdin Shrine Temple in Columbus, Cambridge Commandery 47 and Knights of York Cross of Honor. A former deputy county auditor, he also was a former cashier of First National and Farmers and Merchants banks. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Newton Morgareidge, and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Morris of Caldwell route 3 and Mrs. Adda Farmer of Kankakee IL. Services will be held at 1 pm Monday at McVay Funeral Home in Caldwell with Rev. DeForrest Winner officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery at Caldwell. Masonic rites will be held at 8 pm today at the funeral home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the funeral home.
