    1. [OHMUSKIN] John and Elizabeth Carnes in the Blue Rock Area
    2. Todd Carnes
    3. I've been beating my head against the wall on this one. Can ANYONE help me out with this. I'm looking for the parents of my 2nd Great Grandfather, John Carnes. I'd also be interested in getting his wife's maiden name. Here's what I know... John Carnes died 26 May 1910 (possibly in the Meigs Twp/Blue Rock area). He was married to Elizabeth(Abt 1852 - 9 Mar 1911). They had at least two children that I know of - Susan V. Carnes (Abt 1871 - ?) and my Great Grandfather, William L. Carnes (1879-1936). I know Elizabeth died in the Blue Rock area and was buried at Blue Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. William is also buried there. Does anyone have any other information on this family? On a (somewhat) related note... The next time I go back to Ohio to visit my Mom, I want to make a trip to Blue Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Can anyone give me directions there? I'd be going there from my Mom's house in Trinway. Thanks, Todd

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QZB.2ACI/6144 Message Board Post: In the spring of 1871, a wagon train left the Zanesville area of Muskingum Co. for Kansas. The train arrived August 1, 1871, in what is now Smith County, Kansas. Among the travelers were the families of the Hanmond's, Chadwick's, Granger's, St Clair's, Andersons's, Leonard's and Jones'. There were probably more families and there were several adult members of the above noted families. Does anyone have any historical data on this wagon train migration?

That I. Drumm was b. in VA in 1797. That would give very good likelyhood that he is the father of your Margaret. My 3rd. GGrandfather was b. 1797 and my 2nd GGrandfather was b. 1840. They lived in Hopewell Twsp., Muskingum County, OH. Two of my 2nd GGrandfather's sisters married two Drumm brothers. There are a good many Drumms barried at Mt. Olive Cemetery just North of Mt. Sterling, OH just North West of Zanesville. There are others barried at Poplar Fork Cemetery just West of Gratiot, OH in Licking County.
