    3. Dear List: I have a 3 year brick wall - one that exists for other researchers of the same FRAZIERS. There were many FRAZIERS in Muskingum Co., but I can't find mine in censuses or other records. Jacob FRAZIER married Julia RIEMS, but I don't know where or when other than it was before1855. I think it's possible that Jacob used another given name and maybe Julia did as well. Maybe they both used the name not know by their grandchildren. It's not known by me either. I do have the following information about his son, William Oscar FRAZIER, from his WV Archives death record, censuses and the VA Archives record of William's wife, Belle FRAZIER: WILLIAM OSCAR FRAZIER: parents: Jacob (b. PA or IL) & Julia (Riems) (b. PA or IL) Frazier born: 11/23/1855 OH (either Zanesville or Cincinnati) note: birth records in Muskingum Co. didn’t start until 1867 died: 5/28/1929 Wheeling, Ohio Co., WV - at home, 104 S. York St., Wheeling funeral: Cooey-Bentz, Wheeling burial: Mt. Wood Cem., Wheeling occ: Hardware Salesman spouse: Isabelle “Belle” Williamson FLORENCE marriage: about 1876, probably Wheeling or Mt. Pleasant, WV spouse born: 3/3/1858 Mt. Pleasant or Wheeling, WV spouse died: 11/3/1954 Richland Dist., Wheeling, WV, age 87 spouse funeral: Fields spouse buried: Mt. Wood Cem., Wheeling last res: 104 S. York St., Wheeling, WV spouse’s parents: Samuel J. and Margaret (Ryal) Florence spouse’s mother born: New Castle, PA spouse’s father born: Richmond, VA Twelve children of William Oscar & Isabelle “Belle” Williamson (FLORENCE) FRAZIER: (3 did not make it to the 1880-1900 census & I don't have their names) Charles Henry; Harry Garfield; Samuel James; Blanche H.; Walter C.; Earl R.; Estella “Stella” May; Julia A.; Jacob G. I think Jacob & Julia (RIEMS) FRAZIER also had a daughter, Alice, who was born in Muskingum Co., OH That's all I have. Sure could use some guidance on Jacob. I am the daughter of their son William Donald Milligan. Which of their children are you related to? Charles Owen Untied is your ggg-grandfather, and he is my great-grandfather.I have recently been given The following info on Herman Heinrich Untiedt b: 9-17-1815 in Ladbergen Germany. He was a cobbler of wooden shoes, and applied for emigration on Feb 23, 1849. He came to this country with his wife Catharine Kipp b: 6-6-1810 and their three children, Wilhelm b: 12-19-1841, Heinrich Wilhelm b: 8-20-1846, and Christine b: 4-6-1844. Catherine's father Wilhelm Kipp was also on the voyage. There was a major measels epidemic on the ship and Catherine, two of the children, Wilhelm and Christine died in rute to this country. It is believed that Catherines father also died. He and his son Hein! rich settled in Ohio with other Kipp family members in 1850. In 1851 he married Katherine Ann Schumacher in Muskingum Co, Ohio. She was born in Baden Germany in 1825. Katherine came to America in 1850 on the ship Alex Edmond with her father Charles Schumacher, mother Catherine, siblings Christian, Ludwick, Conrad, Elizabeth and Susannah. Katherine and Herman Untiedt had 5 children, William, Charles Owen(b: 8-21-1854 Dresden Oh m: 12-17-1879 Muskingum Co, Oh to Mary Jane Mortimer d: 10-17-1941 Frazeysburg Oh), Susannah, Catherine and Elizabeth. Herman Untiedt became a citizen on 9-26-1853 in Muskingum Co, Ohio. He died on 12-23-1866 in Dresden Ohio. Katherine died in Dresden Ohio on 6-5-1898. My aunt sent a picture of Herman Heinrich Untiedt. The original was a metal plate and it was copied and sent over the computer, so the clarity if not great. I anyone has anymore info on this line please reply. I am trying to solve the mystery of Herman Heinrichs parents. I have found two conflicting lines for him. Thanks for any info you may have. I know I had several lines of my family here prior to the 1830s and I found stories about people with the same surname who met with newsworthy deaths whom were mentioned as having been buried in the old Moxahala cemetery. Ditto with some of the township cemeteries. It's a difficult way to track them down........so a look into other's work who may have documented similar discoveries could be fruitful. I have read that Greenwood used to be called City Cemetery long ago. Like the last respondent, I have never heard of any other cemetery in the Putnam area than Woodlawn or Moxahala. I am seeking information on the wagon train migration and these pioneers. I am interested in the route they took to Kansas, where they might have stopped along the way and what caused all of these families to leave Ohio for the frontier in Kansas. NEFF, restaurant and confectionery, was born in Muskingum County, Ohio, January 17, 1840, and previous to his emigration to Kansas, was engaged in the hardware and agricultural implement business, in DeWitt County, Ill. He served three years in the Rebellion, enlisting at Chicago, in 1861, with Company D, of the Fifty-first Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and was in all the principal engagements of his regiment with the exception of the last six months, when his health failed him, brought on by exposure during service. In April, 1873, Mr. Neff came to Kansas, locating on a farm near Hiawatha, this he ran four years, then served one year as Constable and Deputy Sheriff, and afterwards farmed again, until the fall of 1880, when he removed to the city, and opened his present business, where he has built up a lively and lucrative trade. He is a member of Hiawatha Lodge, No. 83, of the I. O. O. F. Was married in Illinois, in May, 1865, to Miss Caroline M. Reeves, of Erie County.

I believe she may be the mother of our ancestor, Sarah Ann Atwood who married Silas Cole Strait there in 1821. Their first born daughter was named Tabitha. Coincidence?...maybe, but I don't think so.
