I have tried to find her and her family in the 1910 and 1920 censuses with no luck. She married Carl Wesley Moyer on 26DEC1929. I know for sure that Carl Wesley Moyer was born in Muskingum County, and have been lead to believe that Julia Maude Roberts was born there as well, but I'm not sure. Carl and Julia are found in the 1930 census in Cleveland. In that census, Julia says that her father was born in VA and her mother in OH. Can you help me? List, This list has a set of rules and one of those rules is that there are NO ROLL CALLS! These things have a habit of getting out of control and we already have a surname system in place. If you want to make sure sure surnames are out there for people to see, make sure they are current in our surname system. He married his first wife, "Miss White" in Ireland. Along with an indeterminate number of children, they came to America. An old letter in the family, written by William and Miss White's daughter Jane (born 1812), says "that she well remembered the trip across the ocean and that the youngest child was only eight days old when they set sail for America." William's first wife is buried in the Zanesville Catholic Cemetery. William married again on 10FEB1820 in Zanesville to Martha Mann, daughter of William and Sarah Mann, both born in Ireland. William and Martha Conway had a son named James, born in 1820. He married his first wife Elinor (Ellen) Harrison on 9AUG1840. They had five children: Martha (b.1841), William (b.1842), Benjamin (b.1844), Francis (b.1846), and Isaac (b.1849). Elinor (Ellen) died in 1858. William Conway remarried on 27APR1854 to Ruth Ann McCormick. They had 5 children: Davi! d Wesley (b. 1855), Ann Melissa (b.1858), John Mann (b.1860), Peter Johnston (b.1863), and Elsie Margaret (b.1867). William Conway died in 1868. I made the offer to look ups to the Meigs Board and decided to extend the offer to three other boards that I belong to: I have one volume of the Roster of Ohio Soldiers 1861-66 - Vol VII. It contains 87th - 108th Regements of the Ohio Infantry. It contains an alphbetical listing of the members by company - officers first. It gives the following information - Name, Rank, Age (at enlistment), Date of entering the service, Period of Service (how long they signed up for) and Remarks. In the back of the book there is a "Roll of Honor" for these regiments - listing by Regiment, soldiers that died during the war. Information given: Name, Compan, Rank, When they died, Where they are buried and remarks. Some of the remarks give specific information about where they died or were buried. If anyone has a relative that served in these regiments..... I would be happy to send them what information there is. I just need Name, Regiment # and Company. You should be able to get these from the NARA site. >From the Introduction of the book, it was commissioned by the Legislature of the State of Ohio. There were a total of 7 volumes - but the first book published was Vol 2 - covering Regiments 1 - 20 and was issued Oct 15 1886; Vol 3 - Regiments 21-36 issued Jan 15, 1887; Vol 4 - Regiments 35-53 issued Aug 15, 1887; Vol 5 Regiments 54-69 isssued Oct 15, 1887; Vol 6 - Regiments 70-85 issued Feb 1 1888; Vol 7 - Regiments 86-108 issued Aug 1 1888. Volume 1 containing the three months troops will be the last to be issued. It seems there were 10,000 copies of each volume with specific directions as to how they were to be distributed - to General Assembly members down to local libraries, with excess for sale at a price "not to exceed $1.00 per volume" and no more than one copy of each book to a single person.
