    2. Dear wonderful, angel hreynolds: Where or what censuses were these names found (other than the 1860 on where the Jacob Fraziers are named as Frockers)? The Josesp Frazier born in 1780-90 MD is probably the key to this family. Is 1840 Hopewell a street addy or a twp. in Muskingum Co. in 1840? Thank you, thank you, thank you. Author: triciashumate1970 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.muskingum/6248.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The genealogy society has the death index, both for county and city. . . that makes it easier to locate the dates in the local newspapers. The newspapers are on microfilm. Early ones, before say, the 1960's, are not necessarily in any order (in other words there is not a column named "obituaries") and can be anywhere in the paper from the front page to the last page and many of the obits are "notices" only (meaning there is not a lot of genealogical information included. Since we started our collection of obituaries, many researchers who come to our society and don't find their particular obits in our file, donate a copy to us once they find them on the microfilm. While we do have a tremendous number of obits on file, not many of them are older obits. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
