Campbell age 19 is living with Thomas Campbell age 39 and his family. ALso in the household is Sarah Campbell age 21 and Archibald Campbell age 69 b IRE. Apparently Archibald's wife died between the 1840 census where she appears to be listed and the 1850 census. While not a sure thing it gives you some names to explore. I cannot find his parents! Have his photo, Union Army (Iowa) pension file. His wife, Amanda Miller was born in Greencastle IN. He was a carpenter by trade. Lived in Iowa 1860 to late 1880's, then to Independence OR & to St Louis 1899 to death 1904. I have a photo of a Joseph Campbell it states he was William's step brother. Photo was taken in Iowa.
