I too have a Zanesville Cemetery mystery. Best of all, it is a receipt for the purchase of a lot in Zanesville Cemetery Dated April 3, 1886. And there is no doubt as to the cemetery's name. IN a visit to Muskingum Co courthouse four years ago I found an affidavit for a marriage license that included the names of the couple getting married as well as a return signed by a JP or minister and of course dates for each event. On another affidavit someone else (a bro) applied for the affidavit and had signed for it. No other information was on it. Hope this helps. Kemp, who was born in Virginia, and was married to Letticia Roach, were living in Muskingum County when their daughter, Mary Virginia Kemp was born in the year of 1836, then Daniel L. Kemp and his wife, Lettica, and their young daughter, Mary Virginia Kemp, moved back to Virginia either to Jackson County, Virginia or to Fauquier County, Virginia. Daniel L. Kemp and his wife, Letticia, were living in Frederick County, Va. when their daughter, Sarah Letticia Kemp was born on the date of January 1, 1834 in Frederick County, Virignia. So somewhere between January 1, 1834 and the year of 1836, they removed from Frederick county, Va. to Muskingum County, Ohio. I know that there is a Kemp family, who settled in Ohio and this Kemp family was from England. My problem is that I have no idea where my William Schults came from in Ohio and I have no idea if he married there or not. So, of the several possible marriages for William Schults (or similar spellings)it is difficult to know if one of them is him or not. I only pick up on William once he is Iowa in 1866 and his son is born in Davis County. I have no idea of siblings, parents or ????
