Belle Melvin was Isabel Seargent w/o of William Melvin - son of Isaac and Deborah. Greenwood records list the the death of Henrietta Melvin Woods - I walked the area that the records indicated and couldn't find a grave stone, there weren't many in the area. It is likely that she didn't have one.... and probably the others I am looking for are also buried there w/o markers. Thanks again..... My family is at the highest point in the cemetery. It is at the back side of the cemetery and overlooks the highway (I know, that does not sound like a nice resting place). It is almost directly in back of the caretakers house, but several yards towards the highway. There is a loop around the crest of this hill, and everything contained within that loop may be the Arch section. My mother remembers visiting the cemetery as a child, and what is now the lowest point/section in the cemetery was an ornamental lake. I MapQuested (www.mapquest.com) the cemetery two weeks ago and it was fun to see the bird's eye view. You can get two views of the cemetery this way - one is an aerial photograph and the other is a computer generated drawn map. What is the arch section? From the cemetery records her husband is buried in a family masoleum in section 2 which I took pictures of when I was there in June. He died after 1895. In fact, the lady could see it from her window in the cemetery office. Does anyone know if they would inscribe individual vaults within family crypts? If so, is there any way of entering the crypt? The one I found was padlocked. Will cemetery personnel let you in? I was hoping she might show up in the masoleum also. What other Cassels did your records show? Thanks for the time and effort. Page 79 Belle Melvin, b 1842. No death date listed. Sec 10 Row 13 There are several Woods listed on page 128 including a Thomas and Hannah Woods. It reads that Thomas died in 1880 in Pittsburgh and Hannah his wife died in Zanesville 1883. I thought that was interesting. She came her for some reason. I have no idea who Thomas is, but it is the same section and row as Florence whom I know to be my line. I wonder if I only focused on the seven graves that we knew were associated with our family.
