In the line of John and Maria McCashland, the info I have, for him, shows he was married to Maria S Hague, in Virginia. And Sarah would fit in as a daughter, I think. But have to do more researching. She married Aron Grosh, in 1848, and shows up in an Illinois census, in 1850, with Aron. But I do not know if they had any children, yet. Thanks for the info. My Great grandfather, Valentine Adolph, was a farmer but he also ran a ferry (boat) at the bottom of a long hill leading from his farm to the Muskingum River. Our family referred to this as the "Jane Kinney" hill. This road continued on to the original Salem Methodist Church where the family worshipped. If anyone has ancestors (my great grandmother was Leota Kinney (Adolph) who knew my ancestors please post any information you may have that would be helpful. Thank you. I am particularly interested in information regarding the ferry (boat) that Valentine Adolph, (known as Fritz--perhaps) ran. Thanks in advance.
