Did he ever live in Cumberland County, PA? I just located a land deed in Columbiana County, Ohio that was in his wife's name. They relocated there from Pennsylvania. It's a long story, but a child, John, was listed on the deed in addition to 7 other children after John Sr.'s death in or around 1810. MY G.G. grandfather was supposedly born in 1822 in Columbiana County, but not sure how that could be possible if his father died in 1810. Very confused at this moment. Jane Marsh Price and her late husband Bob Price were former long time member's of MCCOGS Jane Ann Price, 91, of Zanesville, died at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born February 28, 1920, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Dr. Cecil C. and Florence I. Burton Marsh Folk. After Dr. Marsh died in 1929, Florence married Erle M. Folk, who adopted Jane and her sister Patricia in 1936. Jane was a life long resident of Zanesville, graduating from Lash High School Class of 1937 and attended Muskingum College for 2 years. She married J. Robert “Bob” Price in 1940 and they lived in Zanesville all of their married life. She was a homemaker and had been a substitute teacher, but referred to herself, laughingly, as a “professional volunteer.” She had served in P.T.A.’s, Y.W.C.A. and the American Cancer Society. She also had been a hospital volunteer and delivered Mobile Meals. She was a long time member of the Pioneer and Historical Society and the Muskingum County Genealogy Society. In recent years, she was an active member of the Chautauqua Reading Circle, Owls Club, Church Women United, Friends of the Pioneer and Historical Society and the Civil War Roundtable. As a lifelong member of the St. James Episcopal Church, she served on the Vestry, St. Hilda’s Guild, Episcopal Church Women and on many committees through the years. Jane was a genuine friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Surviving are two sons, Timothy A. and Cynthia Price of Palo Alto, CA and Dr. Stephen M. Price and his wife Trisha of Keene, NH; six grandchildren, Angela (Matthew) Donahue of Keene, NY, Michael Price of New York City, David (Minji) Enemark of Palo Alto, CA, Daniel Enemark of San Diego, CA, Melissa J. Price of Palo Alto, CA and Carrie Massey of Glenview, IL; and three step grandchildren, Jesse, Kelsey and Sophia Morse. Jane was the proud great grandmother of Finley Donahue and Luca Enemark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert “Bob” Price, who died in 1992; two daughters, Melissa J. Price and Dr. Virginia A. Price; and a sister, Patricia M. Marsh. Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. A Eucharistic Requiem Liturgy will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the St. James Episcopal Church, 155 N 6th St., Zanesville with the Reverend Father Robert E. Willmann as celebrant. Jane will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bob and Daughter Melissa at Greenwood Cemetery. I'm trying to connect her in Ohio. My ggrandfather Enos Johnson was said to be born in the Steubenville area around 1824. His sister Nancy is said to have been born in the Zanesville area abot 1821.. About 2 years after Enos was born they moved to Ontario. Another lady and I have been trying to find exacty who was Job Johnson's family and Mary Scott's family. We had some tell us Mary was actually born in Ontario. As for Job we have no idea where to begin to look. I've had one person say it's possible they were Quakers because the area in Ohio was where Quakers mirgrated to and the family Mary is suppose to belong to were Quakers. Job Johnson born about 1795 where? died about 1842 in Ontario Canada is my GGGrandfather married Mary Scott. Mary Scott was born about 1795 have conflicing information I have Ontario Canada, New Jersey, and Ohio she died in Sanilac County Michigan 1885. Their daughter Nancy was born about 1821 in Muskingum County. Their son Enos is suppose to have bee born in Jefferson County about 1824. After Enos's birth they moved to Ontario Canada.
