In the 1830/40 census for Bloom Twp.,Morgan Co. there is a Thomas Hopper.In the 1850 census his name was written in the german manner using the sign for "double"..This made his name appear as if it might be Thomas Harper.I searched for along time for Harper before I actually saw the census myself & realized my error....
