It looks as tho we share the same Mordecai (Margaret Jackson) Harper line, then we drift to their son Gideon (brother of your James, three years younger), which is where we lose detail. I have Gideon married, possibly twice....once to a Rhoda ???, and then to Lydia Welsh. These are the parents of my GrGr-Grandfather. His name was Cashius Carlton Harper and I know he had siblings, but this is where our information becomes sketchy. Cashius' wife and children seem to be cloudy as well.
