    2. from the McConnelsville Herald, 14 Nov. 1873, p. 3, "Home News" Mr. Neri Hanna and family, of Cadiz, are visiting his father, Judge Hanna. He is a flourishing bookseller of his adopted place. Jas. L. Berry, Esq., has an extensive law practice at Macon, Mo., his former partner, Mr. Barcley, is in the insurance business. Both are flourishing. Messrs. E. R. Worrall and Isaac England, both old citizens of Chesterfield, are going into the grocery trade in Zanesville, 8th Ward. Both good men and true. Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Brent desire to express their gratitude to neighbors of both town and country, for kindness shown them during their recent affliction. Mr. Oliver Lovall was in town last Saturday and reports the Marietta Refinery, of which he is part owner, to be in a flourishing condition. Oliver looks well and happy. Rev. G. S. McLaughlin, of the Ohio Conference, residence in Malta, is pastor of the congregations at Rosseau, Ringgold, Pleasant Valley and Mounteville. He is a very pleasant gentleman. Joseph Richardson and family left Wednesday morning for Douglas County, Illinois, where they will reside. The Herald follows them and the best wishes of many friends. Thos. Williams and wife, after a protracted tour through Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri, returned to their home in Malta township last Saturday, gratified with their seven weeks visit and glad to get home. The temperance meeting in Morris' Music Hall last Friday evening, was addressed by Elder Enoch Dye, Rev. Mr. Chapman, Jas. L. Watkins, Esq., Dr. W. N. Hambleton, Rev. David Mummey and Rev. Mr. Harrison. The heavens indicated their sympathy with the cause by pouring down torrents of rain which must have dampened the ardor of temperance people, as but few were out. The speeches were brief and will received. There will be another meeting at the same place next Friday evening.
