I'm researching my 4th great grandparents, Jonathan Lewis and Nancy Randolph. They were married in Belmont County on 22 July 1817. They were in Belmont County, Richard township, in 1820, Washington County, Roxbury township, in 1830 and 1840 and Morgan County, Marion township, in 1850 and 1851. I haven't yet found them in 1860, but they were in Athens County, Canaan township, in 1870. Jonathan named only 5 sons in his will: Abner (my 3rd great grandfather), Jacob, David, Abraham and Orson, yet he had more children. I found Jonathan Jr. in Jonathan's household in 1850. He was born in 1832. And I found Isaac R. next door to John and Nancy. He had a 4 year-old son named Jonathan, so I'm sure he was also a son. And on the other side of Jonathan and Nancy were Eli and Evaline Harris. I'm certain Evaline was a daughter. Jonathan's granddaughter, Nancy, my 2nd great grandmother, named one of her daughters Evaline. They also had a son named Jonathan. Over in Roxbury township in Washington County was Valentine Lewis, a blacksmith (as was Abner), who had a son named Jonathan. Orson also had a son named Valentine, so I know this Valentine is connected, most likely a son. I don't have any information on Jacob other than his name on Jonathan's will. I'd like to find out what happened to the other children and find names of those I'm missing. He had 12 children in 1840, and I'm missing three. I'm puzzled that he only mentioned the 5 sons in his will and didn't mention the other sons or daughters. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Cynthia
