I'm researching my Grimes line. My 4th great grandparents were Hannah Deweese and Benjamin Grimes. Benjamin was born about 1787 and died before 1850. Hannah was born 24 June 1791 in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. After Benjamin's death, she was living with Owen 23, Samuel 18, Esther 17 and Hannah 14. Hannah's son, John, who was living next door, married Elizabeth A. Mercer, 23 May 1849. Joanna, my 3rd great grandmother, was already married to Abner Lewis since 29 May 1842. Owen had married Delilah Roland on 5 March 1846, but she wasn't on the 1850 census with him. I don't have anything on Samuel, Esther or Hannah, except for their approximate years of birth from the 1850 census record. Are there any Grimes researchers with information on this line? I know who Hannah's parents were (Owen Deweese and Mary Lee), but I don't have anything about Benjamin's parents. Also, does anyone know who Cornelius Dewees, born 1822 in Ohio (wife Rebecca born 1817 Ohio and daughter Clarissa born 1850) and Delby Dewees, born 1789 Pennsylvania (son William R. born 1825, daughter Deborah born 1829, grandson William Jr. born 1842 and Griffith Dewees born 1831) were? They were living next door to each other in 1850. I'm figuring they were father and son, and I wonder how Delby is connected to Hannah (Deweese) Grimes. Hannah had 12 siblings, and Delby wasn't one of them. Hannah's grandfather was Cornelius Deweese, so I'm sure there's a connection. Any information would be appreciated. Cynthia
