Hello list members! I am doing research on a Gaston family that lived in the Belmont/Morgan/Athens Co., OHIO area in the early to mid-1800's. I'm trying to find the parents to my gg-grandfather, Ephraim Gaston. He was born in 1822 in Ohio and died August 30, 1858 in Athens Co. He married Elizabeth Young (b 1826 OH, d. January 2, 1903) in 1843 in Morgan Co. She married (2) William Howard in 1861. Ephraim & Elizabeth has six children: Susan, James W., Zadock, David Y., Angeline, and Joseph B. (*my g-grandfather). There was a Dr. Ephraim Gaston (b. 1799) living in Belmont Co. but he is not the father of my Ephraim--it's possible that one of his brother's is--the two I suspect are: John Perry Gaston (b. April 24, 1793) and Robert Gaston (b. January 17, 1797). These 3 brothers (along with many other sibs) are the children of Dr. Alexander Gaston (b. 1769) who also lived in Belmont Co.
