Use Filby's Passenger and Immigration list to determine when they arrived in the USA and then tract them to the boat. The boat listing may give you the place in Ireland. 2. Use naturalization papers in the county court in any of the counties. 3. Use the Parish records for the Catholic Church especially in Perry County. 4. Since the Irish rebels burned the Post Office buildings in the 1920 revolt, many many records for Ireland went up in smoke. There is a guide to surnames and surname locations --i.e. what Parish you would find "x" name in. Look in the Family History Catalog under Ireland for help getting to it. I'm not a Irish Researcher, but this is fairly common knowledge among Irish Professional Researchers and you should be able to locate it in the FHL catalog. Don't forget to check various spellings, e.g., Dougan. Nettie Dougan was a very good genealogist in Morgan County and might have been able to assist you. Maybe her research is in the Genealogical Room at the Kate Love Simpson Library in McConnelsville. Log onto some of the Irish Genealogy Web sites might assist you. Do you know if anyone in the family has a family Bible that was kept during the 19th c.? "Michael S.
