I am searching for information on the family of Nathan (born 1771) and Rosanna Smith who were early settlers in Manchester Township. Their daughters, Mary Ann (Born 1801 in VT), Lucy (born 1808 - possibily named "Lucetta"), and Mahala (born 1810), were listed as early "young ladies who were active in the behalf of the church's perpetuation as a church structure..." I have been unable to locate the Manchester Township,Bennington County, OH, birth dates for the younger Smith children: Elizabeth Smith (who married Samuel Dye); Mary Smith (no further information found on her. Yes, according to estate records both Mary Ann (Smith) Maxwell and Mary Smith (Single) signed the Quit Claim Document.); Nancy Smith ( who went to Indiana with her widowed mother sometime after 1838); Martha Smith (who also left for Indiana); and Stephen A. Smith (who also went to Indiana, but no death date & place was found). Hoping that someone can direct me in the right direction, MaryLu in Minnesota
