Can anyone provide information on "Shick's Furnace", a salt works located on the east bank of the Muskingum River about 5 mi. north of McConnellsville and a mile or so south of Rokeby? Time period: 1825-1854. A family history states that my ancestor William Henry Patterson bought the Shick Salt Works at the above location. Thanks for ANY information, Sharyl ferrall@mtaonline.net
