Hopper's Grove Methodist Episcopal Church was located 3 miles west of Dresden on a 1 acre piece of land donated by Benjamin Hopper ( in 1840) .In 1855, a frame was built in a grove on the tract of land....Later the land passed to another person,who noted that the deed had not been recorded by the Church Society...He sold the land to another man,who converted it to a stable .
