I have researched the census records for 1850, 1860, and 1870 and can find no indication that Sarah (Sallie) Eddy is a member of my direct family line. The wife of Manly (Manley) Hayes (Hays) is listed to have been born in both PA and VA and is given ages with a 10 years difference in one census it is possible that there were two Sarah Hayes. Because my Eddy family resided in PA and VA before coming to OH, it is possible that your Sarah Eddy was a member of one of the collateral lines. It was an enormous family! Does this ring a bell with you? We have not been able to find her family before she married Manley HAYES. I also have Matilda BAKER MERCER of Calais, Monroe County, OH.
