    3. I've been researching Belmont Co for quite some time, but I've never yet gone after a will. I found an index that had 5 of our kin on it, but have no idea how to go about getting a copy of those wills. Can anyone tell me who I need to call or where I need to go? Nancy

    3. A quick search of the Ohio Historical Society, archives library on-line cat yields: Book: Will abstracts, Belmont County, Ohio : vols. A, B, and C (1810-1827) / compiled by Lorraine Indermill Quillon. Microfilm seems available for early years--here are film numbers: 1810-1816 (GR10019) 1817-1827 (GR10020) 1827-1832 (GR10021) 1833-1845 (GR10022) 1845-1863 (GR10023) 1863-1872 (GR10024) 1863-1879 (GR10025) 1879-1884 (GR10026) 1884-1887 (GR10027) If you are not in central Ohio, you will most likely have to get help with Probate court records of Belmont County.
