    1. Re: [OHMONROE] Margaret M. Monroe
    2. Mary, that Margaret was born abt March 5, 1843 and died March 20, 1856 and is buried in the Hism Cemetery, Caldwell Township, Appanoose Co., Iowa. I am looking for the maiden name of William's sister-in-law, Rosannah who was born abt March 12, 1804 and died November 20, 1874 in Belmont Co. I can't find her in a cemetery and looked. She was married to Richard Monroe, born abt 1800 in Delaware (probably now PA) and died before March 5, 1850 in Belmont Co. She is the only one of that generation that I don't have a clue as to her last name. Curtis (my ancestor) I am sure was married to Phebe Slusher, but darned if I will ever be able to prove it. Just like I can't find Phebe Starkey's parents and I can't prove that my Archibald States' mother was Hannah Hanna and thus a Brady descendant, but everything points that way. I have been through so many records and nothing yet. Was really disappointed that the records I was using in that old restaurant in Belmont Co have been now hidden again by the Belmont Co people. I didn't get back there in the fall, but I am going to make a stink if I can't get to them later. Helen had them all fixed as to type and year and even tho I had to toss a lot of heavy books around to get to the oldest ones at least I knew where to start. If and when they moved them I am sure they didn't care and just piled them to the ceiling. Must run. we are taking the day off and going to see a movie - our twice a year I guess as there is never enough time. **************Start the year off right.
