William Ernest Bumgardner was the son of Marion and Rebecka Easton Bumgardner. I don't have dates for these two. Marion was the brother of our 2nd Great Grandfather, John M Bumgardner (1818-1897) who married Mary Anna Scott (abt 1824-1910). I only have William's birth year - 1854. I have no information for Robert Palmer. The Toothman's are also related to us. Willis Toothman, the original founder of the funeral home, was a nephew of our 2nd Great Grandfather on the Toothman side.
