As someone who receives HUNDREDS of e-mails per day and has only a few SECONDS to decide whether to keep or delete each one, it really HELPS when people posting to the list puts the surnames in their notes in ALL CAPS. It helps the SENDER by increasing the chances of making a CONNECTION, and it helps all the RECIPIENTS by making it easier to monitor postings and pick out those of INTEREST.
